Kids from our church, and kids from the First Free Will Baptist Church of Pontiac got together Sat. Oct. 13 for some big ball, pizza, hayrides, and a bonfire. Everyone had a great time, with maybe the exception of Bro. Daryl Grimes, his wife Michelle and their son Luke. They spent about four and a half hours in emergency after Luke was hit in the eye with a baseball bat. Luke is doing fine now, but he sure gave us all a scare. We would like to thank Bro. Grimes and his family for coming up for the weekend and filling in for our pastor while he was out of town. Bro. Grimes is pastor of the Harrison FWB Church in Minford Ohio. (Be sure to listen to his message's from the Sunday morning and evening services on the guest speaker's page.) Also we would like to thank the youth leaders from our church Randy and Angie Lilly and from the Pontiac FWB church Cody and Jamie Mansfield.
Here's a picture of Luke after he got hit in the eye, and how it looked the next morning. Many thanks to everyone involved with this youth outing. Please continue to pray for our youth, as they are the future of the church.
