1. Realize that you have sinned and are lost without Christ.
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23

2. Truly repent with a sincere heart and ask God to forgive you of your sins.
"...but now God commandeth all men everywhere to repent." Acts 17:30b

3. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you and wants to accept you just as you are.
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

4. Accept God's free gift of salvation.
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God." Ephesians 2:8

5. Tell someone of your decision to follow Christ.
"For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed." Romans 10:10-11

A Sinners Prayer: Lord, I ask you to forgive me right now of the things I have done wrong that I may start a new life. I believe in you and I want to accept you as my personal Savior, now and for all eternity. Amen
